I usually don’t do software reviews. There are plenty of them around, plus writing such requires a lot of time to be spent in installing, testing, discussing and doing all the things, people that usually do reviews have to deal with. However I have just installed WordPress plugin for iPhone, added a few of my blogs to the interface and I’d like to say it is good.
My first impression is that this iPhone plugin is quite easy to use and can significantly increase your blog posts. It only asks for WP blog URLs, usernames and passwords to enable you to add multiple blogs to the app’s interface. Actually, this blog post has been created with the WordPress app on my iPhone.
I believe that such a mobile app helps a lot to bloggers to manage better their publications, especially on the go. Why?
I don’t know about you, but some of the best ideas I have ever had came onboard or at the time I was traveling. I use Mac Air and it’s battery is always empty because I work all the time… At airports, cafes, libraries, etc. Although that my Mac Air is only 13 inches it is not very convenient to use it onboard.
I decided not to get an iPad or similar tablet PC because I’d like to reduce the number of devices I had to bring with me. The iPhone is enough. It works when you need communication, but at the same time don’t want to open your laptop or just don’t have one around.
The WordPress app for iPhone is handy and works great for editing comments or to making short blog posts. It allows post, comment, tag, image and page management. Bloggers can choose whether to upload full size pictures or to resize them.
There isn’t more to say about the WP for iPhone. It is just makes you to keep blogging.
