I would like to thank you to Keith Duncan, the publisher of Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine for featuring my article “Time For Cloudware” in Ping!Zine’s Issue # 33. He is a great guy who is behind the longest running web hosting magazine in the United States. Download the PDF version of the new issue of Ping! Zine from the website, and subscribe for the magazine. You will find a lot of excellent articles and real journalism there. I must admit that the editors of the magazine done a great job, and made my articles readable.
It was a challenge from me to write this article, not because I don’t fell prepared to speak about the Cloud computing. As you can see inside the article I tried to be visionary on Cloud computing without meditation, and without being on drugs, or having lucid dreams. I must admit that there are a number of journalists and technology experts that can tell you much more about Cloud computing, especially from technology perspective.
I tried to look over the Cloud and to see the new model of computing as someone who will need to adopt it. Me and my partner Stoyan have produced a Cloud Hosting platform called Fuscan, and I have tried to put myself in the shoes of consumers who are about to understand and use Cloud computing technologies. I really hope I made it. Thank you Ping! Zine. Here is the first paragraph of the “Time for Cloudware”. Go to Ping! Zine’s website and to read the newest issue.
I was very close to giving up by calling the Ping! Zine editors and apologizing for overrating my writing skills. I wanted to admit there is no way I can write anything that might explain “Cloud Hosting”. The reason was that after reading hundreds of articles, reviews, blog posts, reference guides, and other texts about “Cloud Computing”, I got even more confused than I was before. But instead of quitting, I just told myself “Hey, others know even less than you do about Cloud Hosting. So go out and tell your story and how you understand Cloud Computing.
I didn’t asked for permission to use the cover of the magazine, and I hope that editor will not be angry with me. The rreason to use it is that the designers of the magazine did great job and I wanted to spark your interest using their illustration. Of course the original pring design looks much better.
